The article describes the history and evolution of notebooks, from the first clay, stone and papyrus scrolls, to the ancient Egyptians using parchment to record information around 2000 BC, to the thin wooden page-turning notebooks of the Middle Ages. The mass production of paper in the 19th century, thanks to the Industrial Revolution, gave birth to the modern notebook. In the 21st century, mechanical recording can not replace the traditional notebook, but in a new way to return to our lives. No matter what form of notebook, we are recording our lives and history.
